SBS

Seoul Broadcasting System

FEBC

Far East Broadcasting Company
So nahm z.B.

Seoul Radio and Telegraph office

The Guui aerial installation is one of several coastal radio stations distributed all over Korea. These directional antennas are used to establish radio contacts to ships and airplanes. Of course, in Korea too, most radio communications nowadays are handled by satellite. For the time being however the Seoul Radio and Telegraph office will not be closed down to sustain the service for smaller ships without satellite equipment.

tbs

Traffic Broadcasting System

tbs

Traffic Broadcasting System
Since 1990 this station is trying to while away the time Seoul citizens have to spend in traffic jams with news, entertainment and music on FM 95.1 MHz as good as possible. First and foremost of course the listeners are informed about the current traffic situation in all parts of Seoul. At certain times the programmes are presented bilingual Korean/English. Since 2005 tbs also operates a TV channel and uses digital distribution paths on the DMB system. On December 1st 2008 tbs started a new all English radio station (tbs eFM) on FM 101,3 MHz.
